LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- Authorities have identified the body that was discovered in Aug. by a hunter off Dripping Springs Road in Las Cruces.New Mexico State Police agents with the assistance of the Office of the Medical Investigator have confirmed to KFOX the body was that of 44-year-old Dennis Watts of Las Cruces, N.M.The New Mexico State Police Department was first notified of the body on Aug. 25 sometime between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. Police said Watt's body was discovered just off of Dripping Springs Road by a person hunting in the desert. Watts was wearing a gray NMSU Aggies T-shirt, gray sweatpants that were inside out and black Airwalk shoes with no socks.On Aug. 27, a lieutenant of the NM State Police told KFOX a witness said the man appeared to be yelling, but at what, or whom, is unknown.The Office of the Medical Investigator was not able to determine a cause of death, however, OMI did indicate there were no signs of foul play.Anyone with information is asked to call the State Police Investigations Bureau at 575-525-4845.
