Toddler Rushed To Hospital After Found Underwater In Tub

Emergency crews rushed a toddler to the hospital after she is found underwater in a bath tub.

Fire officials said it happened on the 10000 block of Railroad Drive in Northeast El Paso.

Lt. Mario Hernandez with the El Paso Fire Marshal’s Office said, “The parents were bathing a 18-month-old girl when they became distracted for an unknown amount of time and when they went back, they found the girl underwater.”

Emergency dispatchers were able to give CPR directions over the phone until paramedics arrived.

The girl was given advanced life support when crews arrived on the scene, according to Hernandez.

She was taken to University Medical Center where her condition is unknown.
