WASHINGTON -- They weren't wearing the conservative suits typically seen on Capitol Hill. And the hot issues of the day were not their focus. But Jayde Nicole and Jo Garcia had no problems getting people to pay attention to them. The 2008 Playmate of the Year and Playboy Cyber Girl of the Year walked up to the Rayburn House Office Building next to the Capitol wearing only a bra and panties adorned with plastic lettuce leaves and rhinestones. Their message at the PETA-sponsored event: go vegetarian, look your best and save animals."I had a lot of pets growing up. I don't want to eat animals," Nicole said as she handed over a veggie dog.To push the point, the playmates stood behind a buffet table, put on gloves and served veggie hot dogs to House staffers, tourists and anyone interested in eating or getting an up-close look at the models. The only people clearly missing: members of Congress."I came here for free food," one women announced."This dog is not good, but I didn't come here for the dog," said one young man who refused to identify himself. When photographers started pushing each other and arguing over space, Nicole said: "Hey! Don't fight! Have a hot dog."And if there were any concerns about the women feeling uncomfortable serving food on the Hill in their underwear, worry no more. With temperatures in the high 80s, Nicole announced: "It's so hot. I feel bad for all the people in suits."
