El Paso County Sheriff's Deputies are on the lookout for a man wanted in a homicide that happened five years ago.

Armando Hernandez, 46, was found stabbed to death at his home in Coach Westway, Texas, in January 2004.

Investigators were close to capturing Carlos Urquidi, when they found he was trying to contact family in Anthony, N.M.

The trail for Urquidi went cold, until now. Deputies say he may be in the area or on the move between El Paso, Midland, Albuquerque or even Durango, Colo.

Urquidi is described as a Hispanic male, 5' 8" tall, approximately 160 pounds with a "Tribal Wreath" tattoo on his left arm, face of an Indian on his right arm and a tattoo on his chest which reads "Urquidi."

He's suspected of being armed and dangerous.

If you know Urquidi’s whereabouts call Crime Stoppers, at 566-TIPS(8477).
