EL PASO, Texas -- The Las Cruces Police Department told KFOX it needs the public's help in finding Brayton Smoot, last seen at the Golden Mesa retirement home on Friday.

Detective Kiri Daines with the police department said Smoot was last seen in the lobby of the retirement home around 6:30 p.m. on Friday. She said Smoot suffers from Alzheimer's disease and is not in good physical health.

Smoot is described as 6 feet tall with a thin to medium build and thick salt and pepper hair. He was last seen wearing a gray sweater, plaid shirt, beige pants and black boots.
