Socorro Bulldogs Honored At Capitol

AUSTIN, Texas -- The state champion Socorro Bulldogs traded the dugout for the floor of the Texas State Capitol.

Sen. Eliot Shapleigh and Representative Chente Quintanilla worked together to honor the team in the Senate and House Thursday.

Shapleigh’s office raised money to make the two-day tour possible.

The Bulldogs had a VIP tour of the Capitol, a meeting with Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst and a banquet in their honor.
