Apartment Residents: Management Won't Fix The A/C

Walking into Maria Quintana's home at La Estancia Apartments Tuesday you can feel the heat, and with the rain it's worse.

“When I open the door it just gets hotter,” Quintana said. "Right now, it's humid but when it's not raining it's very very hot. I'm constantly sweating.”

Quintana said she has been living miserably for the past two weeks because her air conditioning was blowing warm air.

"They would tell me they would fix it, not just me you can ask all my neighbors and it's the same with them," Quintana said.

Quintana showed KFOX the fan La Estancia management gave her in the meantime, but the wait for cool air she said has been ridiculous.

"It's not fair. What they're doing just doesn't seem right to me,” Quintana said. "When you go to the office, you'll see it's really cool, but in here, it's really hot."

KFOX reporter Derek Shore went into the office to speak to someone about Quintana’s warm problem.

The person Shore spoke to said that she couldn't talk to him, but that she would have someone call him from Infinity Management, their parent company. That call, however, never came, leaving Quintana and neighbors praying for something more than a fan.

"I feel like I'm getting taken advantage of. I feel like I'm not important to them," Quintana said.

Shore spoke to other residents that complain of the same problems, but did not want to be identified or interviewed.
