Posted: 9:08 pm MDT June 27, 2009Updated: 7:17 pm MDT June 28, 2009

Severe rains came through the borderland Saturday evening leaving puddles and causing concern for residents.

Several calls came into the KFOX newsroom of flash flooding in Horizon City. Then close to eight o’clock the National Weather Service issued a flood advisory for El Paso County and the outlining area.

KFOX crews were out in Horizon chasing the fast moving storms, watching as it moved over the area leaving mud, puddles, and debris in its path.

Just before nine the N.W.S. cancelled the advisory they issued only an hour before, this as clouds broke apart and moved from the area.
