2nd Suspect Arrested In Socorro Shooting

Overnight El Paso County sheriff’s detectives arrested a second person involved in the homicides of two brothers that happened in Socorro, Texas Monday, morning.

The man was identified as 24-year-old Jose Guadalupe Cordero of Fabens, Texas. He was booked and remains in the El Paso County Detention Facility charged with capital murder under no bond.

Cordero is accused of killing Jose and Jesus Vargas in a fight outside the A&M bar.

Deputies are looking for 19-year-old Ricardo Zuniga, who they believe was the shooter and fled in a dark colored Dodge Intrepid.

His last known address was in San Elizario.

Authorities told KFOX they still haven't determined the motive for the killings.
