Two Brothers Killed At Socorro Bar

Two brothers are dead after being shot during an early-morning brawl at the A&M Bar in Socorro.

According to El Paso County deputies, Jesus Vargas, Jr., 46, and Jose Vargas, 37, were killed outside the bar, after a verbal altercation spread from inside the bar to the parking lot, where it turned violent.

Approximately 40 patrons were inside the bar, located in the 11600 block of Alameda, and investigators said that about 20 of those patrons made their way to the parking lot just before the shooting.

KFOX has learned that one of the brothers died at the scene and the other was pronounced dead at the hospital.
