Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the person they say was involved in an armed robbery Friday.

Police were called out around 11 p.m. to the Dona Ana Park Apartments, at the 1900 block of north Solano Drive, to a robbery.

Investigators learned that a woman was approached by a man who was armed with a knife. The man held the knife to the woman’s throat and demanded money. He then took her purse, said spokesman Dan Trujillo.

The suspect is described as Hispanic, around 5 feet and 4 inches tall and bald. He was wearing a white muscle shirt and jeans.

The suspect was seen leaving the area in an early-model, dark gray Nissan Altima that was being driven by a Hispanic woman with long hair. Another man also was in the car.

If you have any information regarding this robbery you are asked to call Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 575-526-8000 or outside the Las Cruces area at 1-800-897-2746.
