Have Any Last Minute DTV Questions?

The Federal Communications Commission sent a representative to the downtown library Thursday to answer the public's questions about Friday’s transition to digital TV.

Alexander Sanjenis, of the FCC, said it is really nothing to worry about. One of the most common questions was, “How do I know if this will affect me?’ Sanjenis said. “Anyone watching TV with an antenna, whether it’s an outdoor antenna or indoor rabbit ears, or if you don’t have a digital TV,” he said.

Sanjenis also said that if you still need to buy a converter box, make sure you do so with a coupon and try and get one sooner than later. “If you still need a coupon, you should order it today because as we saw in January there is a limited amount of money available for coupons and you don't want to be that person stuck without a coupon,” said Sajenis. You can purchase a converter box at any retail store with an electronics department such as, Wal-Mart, Target and Best Buy. Once you have you converter box, Sanjenis said it’s as easy as building a “sandwich.” The converter box is the middle and the television and antenna are the “bread.” If you have anymore questions you can visit our Web site at kfox.tv.com and click under the “About Us” tab.
