El Paso native and Coronado High School graduate Napoleon Smith III had signed on to green-light a new remake of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.Smith signed on to be the executive producer of the flick. He spoke exclusively to KFOX to say how excited he is to represent the Sun City on his new project and to give a hint of what to expect from the movie."What we're doing is we're going back to the origin of, you know, how these turtles came to be, and we're really doing it off the original eight comic books, which are a lot more dark than the kiddie cartoon you'll see on TV," said Smith. The turtles kick into theaters sometime in 2011.
