On Saturday, fire fighters on the front lines of a wildfire in Timberon, N.M., said the blaze is now 80 percent contained. As a result, fire crews are not demobilizing.

As the exclusive KFOX Las Cruces Bureau has reported, the fire in the small mountain community about 30 miles south of Cloucroft has seen three homes destroyed by the wildfire. A fourth home was reported damaged by the estimated 140 acre fire.

A spokesman for State Forestry said nearly 130 fire personnel are putting out hot spots in the fire area, and authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the fire.

The spokesman also said a Federal Emergency Management Agency grant will cover 75 percent of the costs to put out the wildfire.
