Man Identified In East El Paso Motorcycle Crash

EL PASO, Texas -- El Paso police have identified the man killed in a motorcycle crash Sunday in east El Paso.

Lionel Calanche, 39, was heading north on Lee Trevino Street on his bike around 3 p.m. at the same time a 17-year-old was driving east on Bywood Drive crossing Lee Trevino Street.

Calanche hit the front bumper of the car, falling off the bike.

He was taken to Thomason Hospital where he later died.

Investigators said they believe speed was a factor in this crash.
