Hot Air Balloon Lands, Scaring Neighbors

A hot air balloon scared a few people when it landed unexpectedly in a cul-de-sac in south Bakersfield, Calif., local television station KERO reported.

The owners of the Bakersfield RV Park said a friend brought over their hot air balloon and took it out for a few rides.

Monday morning, they ended up landing on Chateau Court near South High.

Connie Keeter, of the Bakersfield RV Park, said, “Everybody thought we were in distress, but when you are in a hot air balloon, there is no steering so you just have to find a safe place to land."

After the landing, they folded up the balloon, and went on their way.
