EL PASO, Texas -- El Paso can expect to see some cleaner days ahead, after County Commissioners accepted a donation from “Keep El Paso Beautiful.”

A tool shed stocked with gardening and cleaning tools will be heading to the self help center to be used by Colonia residents for yard and neighborhood cleanup projects.

“It uplifts the community, it uplifts the homeowner and it also increases the value, it creates a soothing to an eyesore that maybe was there,” said Guadalupe Ivarra, the director of the Self Help Center of El Paso.

Thirty-five hundred dollars worth of supplies makes up the donation. Today’s give gears up for the national clean up day in April that “Keep El Paso Beautiful” sponsors.
