EL PASO, Texas -- The violence in Mexico has captured the attention of a nationally recognized journalist.Geraldo Rivera held his show, “Geraldo At Large,” live from the Bridge of the Americas Saturday night.El Paso Sheriff’s Chief Richard Wiles, Police Chief Greg Allen, U.S. Rep. Silvestre Reyes, and Mayor John Cook all joined Rivera live on his show, which focused on the drug war in Mexico.“I’ve reported on this story about Mexico’s problem with drug cartels and violence and kidnapping many times over the years, but it has never been a crisis of this urgent proportion where it really becomes worldwide news. It is incredible that the twin city to El Paso, I know very well, has endured 2,000 homicides since 2008,” said Rivera in an interview with KFOX.Rivera said he plans to return to the Sun City in the near future.
