Woman Pinned Under SUV After Rollover Crash

A woman is rushed to the hospital following a dangerous accident on Dyer and Mesquite Flor.

Police said the crash happened just before 11 p.m. Tuesday night when a woman lost control of her Suburban, causing it to rollover and land on top of her.

KFOX got a chance to speak with witnesses who called 911 shortly after it happened. They said since the accident happened near a new subdivision, emergency crews had a hard time finding the accident.

"They could not find us we kept telling them Mesquite Flor and Dyer and they said, “What intersection”, there's no intersection here it's just the desert,” said Mary Jimenez of West El Paso. “We were trying to pull her out and she was not responding, she was just breathing. They came as fast as they could but we live so far out, it's hard for them to find us."

Witnesses said there are also no street lights on Dyer where the accident happened for about 2 miles, which could make the road a bit more dangerous.

The woman believed to be in her 20 or 30 is at William Beaumont recovering from serious injuries. She was the only one inside the SUV.

It is unknown if speed or alcohol were factors in the crash, police said.
