Police: Bad Judgment Causes Head-On Collision

A head-on collision sent two people to the hospital early Wednesday morning.

The crash happened just after midnight near the interaction of Shadow Mountain Drive and Thunderbird Road in west El Paso.

Police told KFOX the driver of a white sedan was attempting to turn into an apartment complex and turned into oncoming traffic. That is when it was struck by an SUV.

Paramedics rushed two passengers from the white sedan to the Thomason hospital. One male passenger had a life-threatening head injury.

The driver of the SUV was traveling with his dog, both were not hurt.

Police told KFOX alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.

The victims identities have not been released.
