A rollover near Socorro New Mexico leaves three people dead Friday.

Police said the rear tire of an SUV carrying eight people blew out, causing it to roll.

Seven people were thrown from the vehicle.

Three died at the scene on Interstate-25. The remaining five were airlifted to a hospital in Albuquerque.

Emergency crews said two were in critical condition.

There was no word on the condition of others.

A New Mexico state police spokesman said the three who died were from El Paso and Roswell.
