Over 35 Pounds Of Marijuana Found Inside Water Heater

An El Paso man was arrested after police found more than 35 pounds of marijuana hidden inside a water heater Tuesday.

El Paso Police told KFOX that Raul Quinonez Jr. was hiding 34 wrapped bundles of marijuana inside a water heater in an outside storage shed at an apartment complex located on the 6700 block of El Paso Drive.

The marijuana had an estimated $28,720 street value, police said.

Quinonez was charged for possession of marijuana more than five pounds and under 50 pounds.
