It's less than 90 days now until the transition to digital TV, and if you need a converter box for your television, time is running out to get a $40 coupon from the government.

To apply for your coupon, start at KFOXTV.com. Click on the DTV tab in the top right corner, scroll about halfway down the page and you'll see a link on the right hand side "digital converter coupons." That will link you to the government's converter box coupon page.

Once there, click on “Apply for a Coupon”. You'll fill out the form with your name and address, describe which kind of TV service you have at your home, and request either one or two $40 vouchers.

In less than 6 weeks, you'll find these vouchers in your mailbox. On the bottom of the page is a list of locations in your area where you can use the coupons to buy a DTV converter box. But remember, the vouchers expire 90 days after the date they were mailed.

To make sure you get your box before the digital transition on Jun. 12, the government recommends you apply for your vouchers no later than Dec. 31.
