This week Rep. Silvestre Reyes announced changes for all of the four major bridges in El Paso.

The changes are part of a six-month pilot program.

As of Nov. 3, the hours at the Ysleta Cargo Facility will expand to 8 a.m. – midnight Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday. The facility will still be closed on Sundays. The Ysleta cargo facility generally process between 28,000 - 31,000 northbound commercial trucks per month.

The Stanton Street Bridge dedicated commuter lane in downtown will see changes as soon as this weekend.

The commuter lane will be open Saturday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to midnight and Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. – midnight.

The new hours are in an effort to alleviate traffic at the Paso Del Norte Bridge and to help swiftly move trade through El Paso's ports of entry.
