BILLINGS, Mont. -- An El Paso man was involved in fatal car accident on Interstate 90 in Billings, Mont.

The Montana Highway Patrol said 55-year-old David Hanson was driving a small passenger car with and 56-year-old Janice Thomas as his passenger. Both were from Missoula, Mont.

The patrol said that car was hit head-on by a Ford pickup driven by 25-year-old Corey Jay of El Paso, Texas, that drifted across the median Friday night.

Hanson and Thomas were pronounced dead at the scene. Highway Patrol Trooper Kyle Hayter says both were wearing their seat belts .

Jay wasn't wearing his seat belt and had to be extricated from the crushed truck. He was in fair condition at a hospital.
