Las Cruces Bridge Becomes Historic Site

The historic Green Bridge at New Mexico’s Farm and Ranch Museum in Las Cruces is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

While many people have traveled across the bridge, the bridge has traveled a few times, too.

From 1902 to 1944, it stretched over the Pecos River east of Roswell.

In 1944, it was moved to Picacho, N.M., where it allowed people to cross the Rio Hondo.

It moved to the Farm and Ranch Museum last year.

The Green Bridge is the 14th bridge in New Mexico to receive the national designation.
