Residents Lose Internet

Customers in four New Mexico communities lost Internet Friday for about two hours.

Customers of Windstream Communications blamed the problem on software failure. The affected areas included Ruidoso, Carlsbad, Espanola and Hobbs.

Service was lost for about 20 minutes after 10 a.m., and then resumed shortly after. Internet again went out from 11 a.m. until about 1 p.m.

Later that day, the problem was resolved when the software was restored.
