Children's Furniture Reveals Illegal Packages

SANTA TERESA, N.M. -- U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized 436 pounds of marijuana hidden inside children’s furniture at the Santa Teresa port of entry Wednesday night.Officers had picked the 1999 Ford F-150 who had entered from Mexico for a secondary inspection. During the search, a drug - sniffing dog named “Moscoe” alerted officials to the bed of the truck.An X-ray scan of the truck showed bundles of packages inside the wood. Officers removed a total of 23 marijuana-filled bundles.The driver 43-year-old Darcy Glaser and passenger, 19-year-old Nicholas Vasquez, both from Albuquerque, N.M., were both arrested in connection with attempt to smuggle.
