Rollover Leaves Two Seriously Injured

LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- Las Cruces police continue investigating Saturday, while two people fight for their lives in El Paso.

According to authorities, the crash happened at Spruce and Mesquite at around 10 p.m. Friday.

The car somehow careened out of control, rolling several times.

The driver, Jennifer Bustillos, 19, was thrown from the vehicle. Her and the passenger, Manuel Johnson III, 21, were both flown to Thomason hospital with serious injuries.

Police believe alcohol may have contributed to the crash and also think the couple may have been involved in several hit-and-run crashes moments before the rollover.
