EL PASO, Texas -- Heavy rains sweep through parts of El Paso on Saturday afternoon, causing flooding."You could hear thunder and you just looked outside and it was dark," explained Tai Johnson. She could see the storm coming from outside her window at work. It's a familiar story in El Paso. First it rains, then it floods."It was really bad. It was really, really pouring. You could see the cars driving up. It even flooded into the building, that is how bad it was," said Crystal Vega. After the fast-moving storm, Gateway West near Lomaland looked like more like a river.Cars were still able to pass the flooded roadway, but only after police moved large rocks and other debris out of the way. In one area the flooding was serious enough for police to temporarily block the road.East El Paso was the hardest hit by the storm. Forecasters expect the chance for more heavy rain throughout the overnight hours.
