Inattention Blamed In Pickup Rollover

EL PASO, Texas -- El Paso police closed a portion of Gateway East near Eastlake Boulevard shortly after 3:30 a.m. Thursday following a rollover crash.A burgundy Ford F-150 wound up in the middle of the road facing the wrong direction.The driver told officers he lost control because he was distracted. The pickup truck veered from the freeway and police said it rolled over at least once.The man and woman involved in the crash were taken to Thomason Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Police said the passenger was not wearing a seat belt and luckily but wasn’t ejected.Police have ruled out alcohol as a cause of the accident.
