EL PASO, Texas -- Whether it be by air or by car, summer's a time for many to unwind by taking a trip. But this year, that time away from home will likely cost people extra, thanks to an increase in the price of fuel."With money being tighter, travel is not necessarily something that you absolutely have to do," travel agent Doris Poessiger said. And so many El Pasoans are scrapping their summer travel plans, and opting for something a lot cheaper."I don't think anybody's really going to be planning anything. Maybe staying at home and hanging out with their family," West El Paso resident Paul Hutchins said. The Air Transport Association recently announced more than 211 million passengers will travel on domestic carriers this summer -- about a two percent drop from last year because of rising ticket prices. And those who planned on driving to their destinations say the pain at the pump is affecting their summer plans as well."Probably instead of going to Disneyland, we're just going to go to Ruidoso," Central El Paso resident Perla Bermudez said.
