Juarez Chief Of Police Steps Down

JUAREZ, Mexico -- Juarez's chief of police announced on Friday that he's stepping down from his position.

Juarez Mayor Jose Reyes Ferriz said Juarez Chief of Police Guillermo Prieto Quintana will step down next Monday to allow military officials to take charge.

Ferriz said change is needed because of the ongoing violence in Juarez. The name of the Mexican army general who will take over has not been released yet.

He will come with another group of military officials.
