Sheriff’s deputies said a family dispute is to blame for a house fire.

The fire started at about 7:15 p.m. Thursday in the 3800 block of Krag Street in Montana Vista.

Officials we spoke with said the husband and wife living at the home got into a fight earlier Thursday afternoon.

Sheriff's deputies said they believe that after the fight, the husband went back and set his own house on fire.

Sheriff’s deputies said they found the man dead Friday morning in the Hueco Tanks area. Deputies are investigating the death as a possible suicide.

The fire destroyed half of the two-story home. Investigators believe the blaze started in the attic.

El Paso fire investigators and sheriff’s deputies investigated the house fire Thursday night. No one suffered any injuries.
