LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- Urian Jiminez, 29, pleaded guilty to several charges including attempted murder, kidnapping and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.A state prosecutor said in November 2005, several family members were held hostage and tortured in their own home while Jiminez accused them of taking his drug money.“He called in two other associates. They tied up everyone that was at the house; four adults and two children. They made them strip down naked. They heated up a metal tongs and burned them giving them third-degree burns on their arms and legs. The whole process took about seven to 10 hours. They tortured them,” said state prosecutor Jacinto Palomino. Two other men accused of being involved in the torture will return to court. One has pleaded guilty, but has asked to change his plea. The other will go to trial Tuesday for his alleged involvement.
