Former Detention Center Guards Indicted

DONA ANA COUNTY, N.M. -- Indictments were filed Tuesday against two former Dona Ana County detention center guards accusing them of drinking and driving around Las Cruces and firing weapons from their vehicle at stop signs March 7.

A Dona Ana County grand jury has indicted 26-year-old Heriberto Cardoza and 20-year-old Michael Guerra on charges of shooting at or from a motor vehicle, conspiracy and negligent use of a deadly weapon.
