Bank Robbery In East El Paso

There were frightening moments for some east El Paso bank customers Monday afternoon after police said the GECU bank branch on Rojas was robbed.

Investigators said the robber walked into the bank as if he was going to make a transaction and then demanded cash from the teller.

Witnesses said the man ran from the bank.

Police described the robber as a Hispanic man in his early 20s, about 5 feet 9 nine inches tall, with a slim build.

He was last seen wearing a black windbreaker with a white T-shirt underneath, black athletic pants with a white stripe down the side and a baseball cap with the letters “LA.”
