Brother Arrested For Extreme Animal Cruelty

DONA ANA COUNTY, N.M. -- More than two months after allegedly finding 21 pit bulls living in filthy conditions in Chaparral, Dona Ana County sheriff's deputies made at least one arrest.Investigators said they arrested 50-year-old Daron Scott on Tuesday afternoon at Santa Teresa high school.Scott is a teacher there.His twin brother, Duryea, was expected to turn himself in by 7 Tuesday evening, but the Dona Ana County Sheriff's Department said he did not show up by 8:30 p.m.They each face numerous charges including two counts of extreme cruelty to animals.
