Not sure where to celebrate Independence Day in El Paso? Aerial fireworks are banned from El Paso city limits, but there are numerous shows being put on by professionals in all parts of town.

At Cohen Stadium, in Northeast El Paso, have some baseball and hot dogs with your fireworks. The Diablos will take on the Shreveport, LA Sports. The game starts at 6:30 p.m. Fireworks will follow after the game. General admission is $6.

Chamizal National Memorial in South El Paso its annual Independence Day show to the next level this year with a bigger fireworks display than in past years. Fyffe said the fireworks will be choreographed with the last 10 minutes of the symphony.

"We're bringing the symphony orchestra. About 75 members of the symphony will be playing their work. So it's going to be a huge production. We're projecting about 20,000 people," said Ben Fyffe, Chamizal National Memorial.

The events at Chamizal are free and begin 7:30 p.m. Parking is free, and parking at the zoo will also be available with a shuttle provided as well.

Several parades will be going on during the daytime. The 28th Annual People's Parade in East El Paso will honor fallen Navy Corpsman First Class Gilbert Minjares, Jr.

The parade starts at 9 a.m. at Hanks High School and continue through Montwood Drive and Yarbrough Drive, and finish at Album Park.

On the opposite side of town in West El Paso, the Rotary Club will also have an Independence Day parade kicking off at 9 a.m.

It will start at Western Hills United Methodist Church on Thunderbird Drive and continue on Mesa Street, and end at Coronado High School.

The town of Anthony will also have their Home Town Heroes Parade starting in Anthony, N.M. and ending in Anthony, Texas.

Floats will take off at 10 a.m. from Anthony Drive and finish at the Anthony Municipal Park. A fireworks display will start at 9:30 p.m.

If you have children you might want to consider Wet and Wild Water World, or Western Playland

The water park is located off Interstate 10 at the Anthony exit. Slides will open at 10 a.m. and fireworks will light up the sky at 9 p.m.

Western Playland in Sunland Park, N.M., will open at 3 p.m. Admission to the amusement park is $15.95 for anyone over 3 years old. It includes unlimited rides. A large fireworks display is set for 9:30 p.m.

To put on your own fireworks show you can head out to the county. The new city-county line is now in front of the Montana Vista Fire Department, about 2,000 feet east of Zaragoza Road.
