The heat is bringing plenty of sun to the "Sun City," but it also brings out the bees.

One man said bees have completely taken over one of the trees outside his apartment complex in Northeast El Paso.

He said he was scared to step outside because of the number of bees.

"There’s kids playing here see, and if they start throwing rocks up there and they get them scared somebody’s going to get stung," said apartment resident, Clarance Dykes.

Residents told KFOX thousands of bees flew in Saturday just as the sun was setting.

They said they have tried to get the bees exterminated, but so far to no avail.
