Police Crack Down On Sexually Oriented Businesses

El Paso County leaders are considering a new ordinance to regulate sexually oriented businesses.

County Judge Anthony Cobos said the proposed ordinance would be similar to one that's already in place within the city of El Paso.

That law requires adult businesses to get a license, keep employee records available for inspection and allow police officers and firefighters to check the business when it's open.

"I think it's good because it keeps drugs and bad people out of bad clubs, you know, and we get a safer place, a safer place to have a good time and stuff," said Sergio Fragoso of Anthony, N.M.

Commissioners' Court will take up the adult business ordinance at its next meeting on Monday.
