Juarez Postal Employees Arrested

Posted: 10:16 pm MST January 28, 2007

Mexican investigators are trying to figure out how two employees at a Juarez post office stole large amounts of mail and money sent from the U.S.

Residents living in a Juarez neighborhood found numerous amounts of letters and envelopes laying around outside a home.

One resident said, "It's nothing but trash. It's nothing but trash."

Mexican federal authorities said two employees looked specifically for letters sent from the U.S. with money inside of it, then took letters to the home to get rid of the evidence.

The two employees are now in jail.
