Soldier With El Paso Ties Killed In Iraq
Another U.S. Army soldier with El Paso ties has been killed in action in Iraq.
The Defense Department said 20-year-old Spc. Windell J. Simmons died from injuries he suffered on Saturday in Taji.
An improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle during combat operations.
Simmons was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 67th Armor Regiment, 4th Brigade, 4th Infantry Division at Fort Hood.
