A family is making plans to bury their 22-year-old son after he was killed in Iraq.

Cpl. Jesse Zamora was killed during his second tour in Iraq last Friday by an improvised explosive device.

"He felt he was doing his job - what he was trained to do - and he wanted to be with his guys that he's with and he couldn't wait to come home," said his mother, Paula Gonzalez.

Zamora's enlistment was supposed to be up last year, but was extended after his unit was assigned overseas.

He was scheduled to come home in July, with his brother, for a mid-tour break.

On Sunday, his older brother, also a soldier, flew in from his tour in Iraq.

His parents said it is likely Zamora's brother will be moved stateside, where he will finish his enlistment.
