An Irving High School graduate turned Marine is killed while serving in Iraq.

The Pentagon says Marine Corporal Trevor D. Aston of Austin died Tuesday in a non-suspicious vehicle accident.

His mother says her 32 year old son called home just hours before his death.

She also says he moved away from El Paso nine years ago.

Friends who knew him from Irvin High School are saddened by the news.

Aston was assigned to the Marine Forces Reserve's Austin-based First Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment, Fourth Marine Division.

He'll be buried in El Paso at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
