Third Fort Bliss Soldier Killed In July
Families at Fort Bliss mourned the loss of a member of the 2nd Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 4th brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division.Fort Bliss officials announced 23-year-old Cpl. Jeremy L. Stacey died July 5 in Baghdad of wounds he suffered from an improvised explosive device.Cpl. Stacey lived in Bismarck, Arkansas. The military posthumously awarded him the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.This brings a total of 19 casualties under the 4th brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division.
