Baghdad, Iraq -- Fort bliss officials are mourning the loss of another member of the fourth brigade combat team.

Late Monday evening, Fort Bliss officials announced that 20-year-old Spec. Jonathan M. Rossi of Safety Harbor, Fla., was killed Sunday, July 1, 2007, in Iraq.

Rossi died due to injuries he suffered when insurgents attacked his unit using improvised explosive device and small arms fire.

The specialist was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart medals.
