They've already had to gather at Fort Bliss several times this year to mourn their fallen comrades.Wednesday, soldiers from the Fourth Brigade Combat Team First Cavalry Division did it again. This time they remembered three men who were killed by an IED last month in Iraq, 26-year -old Pvt. 1st Class William Davis, 25-year -old Sgt. John Allen, and Sgt. Ed Santini, also 25.A spokesman for the unit said the soldiers are grateful for the sympathy and support shown by our community."As we've had to do this... even last month, I want to pass on to you, thank you for your continued support to all you and the letters that you write, the packages that you send, you cannot imagine the feelings for soldiers that are deployed when they receive those and we appreciate that a lot. Thank you," said Maj. Jerry Shepard from the 4th Brigade Combat Team.Soldiers from the unit were deployed to Iraq last October.
