November 1, 2006 -- A former Fort Bliss soldier is charged with engaging in sexual contact with a girl under the age of 12 on a military installation.
Authorities arrested Jackie Dale Johnson, 24, in Purcell, Okla., on Wednesday morning.
FBI agent Andrea Simmons said although Johnson was arrested in Oklahoma, he would eventually be brought back to El Paso for prosecution.
Simmons said Johnson was a friend of the victim's family.
Johnson left Fort Bliss about six months ago and is no longer in the military.
