S-Lift Procedure

S-Lift Procedure

For patients desiring a minimal incision facelift surgery, the S-lift surgery may be the solution. The S-lift, also called the short scar facelift, can be performed at our office under local anesthesia. By design, S-lift surgery produces 50% less scarring than a traditional facelift procedure. Performing the S-lift under local anesthesia, and requiring 50% less incision makes the S-lift surgery amenable and safe to perform at our local office setting. By undergoing this facelift procedure in our own office, patients can avoid general anesthesia and added expenses from the hospital and an anesthesia provider. Patients can expect improvement from the cheek-bone area down to the neck. The S-lift is of benefit to men and women seeking a less invasive way to achieve a more youthful natural appearance.

S-lift surgery patients often comment on their natural and more youthful appearance, experiencing minimal downtime and a rapid return to normal activities. Patients are also typically pleased with the minimal scarring.

This minimal incision facelift surgery is designed to improve and restore a youthful look to the lower face and neckline in a refined jaw line, a smooth neck and a clean neck line.

Unlike a typical facelift procedure, an S-lift does not restore the area of the cheeks. S-lift surgery primarily focuses on the lower face and neck, and can be performed at the same time as other rejuvenating procedures, such as chemical peels and brow lifts. S-lifts can be performed on a patient of any age, as long as they are healthy.

Coolsculpting

Coolsculpting

Now you can transform yourself without surgery with the revolutionary CoolSculpting procedure. CoolSculpting is a non-invasive way to achieve permanent fat reduction with no downtime. It’s called stubborn fat for a reason: no matter how much you eat healthy and exercise, it’s virtually impossible to lose those annoying muffin tops, love handles, and belly pooch. CoolSculpting targets fat cells alone, eliminating them in an easy, non-intrusive fashion that exercise and diet can’t achieve as quickly or as effectively.

 Areas commonly treated with CoolSculpt:

    • Abdomen
    • Muffin Top
    • Bra Fat
    • Love Handles

Procedures that use laser, sonic waves and even surgery to remove fat can actually destroy other tissue in the process by burning, shattering or extracting non-fat cells. This requires downtime for your body to heal. Fortunately, CoolSculpting doesn’t burn, shatter or extract any cells. Developed by Harvard scientists, FDA-cleared, patented procedure uses a targeted cooling process that kills the fat cells underneath the skin, literally freezing them to the point of elimination. Only fat cells are frozen. Your skin cells remain. No knives. No suction hoses. No needles. No scars. Once crystallized, the fat cells die and are naturally eliminated from your body. In a few months, say hello to a new you.

Thermage

Thermage

The Thermage CPT Procedure is an FDA approved method for tightening skin and smoothing wrinkles. This cosmetic procedure does not require invasive surgery, chemicals, needles, or lasers. Ideal candidates for Thermage CPT have mild to moderate facial laxity. The Thermage CPT procedure can also be used to treat patients who have areas of skin that are still loose after a surgical face lift.

The term "CPT" stands for "Comfort Pulse Technology." With this technology, Thermage has become a much more comfortable and much more effective procedure for skin tightening. There are two ways in which Thermage CPT improves patient comfort. First, instead of one continuous unbroken pulse, the CPT technology breaks up the Thermage pulse into a series of micro-pulses. Second, the CPT technology delivers the Thermage pulses with vibration. The vibration reduces the sensation of heating, which also leads to improved patient comfort.

The greatly enhanced patient comfort allows us to make many more passes over the tissues. Depending on the area being treated, we now make 8-12 passes over the tissues with Thermage CPT instead of the 4-5 passes that we used to make with the earlier generation of Thermage. As a result, Thermage CPT treatments are not only much more comfortable for our clients but also much more effective than the earlier generations of Thermage.

There is no special care needed after treatment, and most patients return to their regular activities immediately.

Art of Exfoliation

Art of Exfoliation

Exfoliations role in rejuvenation dates back to 300 BC so there must be something to it! What is exfoliation? It is the removal of the skin’s outermost layer using different tools such as pumices, chemicals, topical’s and technologies. By lifting the dead skin cells, the lymphatic system and blood flow is increased, this rejuvenates the skin. Many cultures have embraced exfoliation, Cleopatra and the Egyptian’s are the first credited for using milk baths that contain natural lactic acid as a way to remove dead skin cells and create a youthful appearance. Today skincare experts continue to use countless forms of exfoliation to give you the royal treatment and a timeless look of youth.

Micro Derm

Micro Derm

Whether you are 60 or 20 years old skincare should be important to everyone. Be pro-active now and look into the options as to what you can do to improve your skin today.  One treatment we would highly reccomend is microdermabrasion which is still a top requested treatment and no longer just a trend. There are so many amazing benefits to this simple treatment and it has been dubbed the instant face lift.  Here are some additional benefits to micro derm:

-It takes as little as 30 minutes to produce lasting results

-Zero downtime and minimal risk

-Painless and requires no needles or anethesia

-Reduces finelines, sun spots/damage, blemishes and acne marks.

-Affordable treatment averaging $100-$200 per session

The science behind microdermabrasion is the spraying of fine particles or crystals resurface the skins outer most layer. This helps speed up your skins own natural mechanism of exfoliating. The earlier systems used a vacuum pressure that drew out impurities within the skin.  Newer technologies reverse the vacuum pressure to infuse active skincare ingredients. Either way microdermabrasion can help reverse the signs of aging, so treat the skin your in with Microdermabrasion!!

Skin Peels

Skin Peels

The topic we are discussig this week is the new generation of skin peels.  Better known as the miracle treatments, skin peels can literally peel away the years.  Not sure about you, but we spent our youth worshiping the sun and putting on way less sunscreen than we should have.  Today we're paying for the damage and a skin peel can certainly help rejuvenate your skin.  The myth is that peels have to burn or be extremely aggressive, but truthfully that isn't the case.  Peels can range from light, mid-depth and deep depending on what you're looking for.

Chemical peels are now the super exfoliators, the newest combinations use layered enxymes or acids.  The ingredients are derived from natural sources such as milk, fruits vegtables and plants.  These amazing combos digest and remove the skinds dead surface layer.  Why spend over $100 for a cream only to apply it to dead skin?!

Skin cell renewal is a key to anti-aging and youthful appearance, so peel away, and lift off the years!

Want to know more?  Here are additional benefits to skin peels:

  • You skin will look smooth and fresh
  • Peel stimulates the growth of healthy skin cells and collagen
  • Different types of peels inclusing Jessner, Glycolic and Mandelic which all vary depending on the type of peel you're looking for.

Be sure to have your skin evaluated by a skin expert prior to trying any of these!
